National Underwriting Services, Inc. is one of only a few Managing General Underwriters in business over twenty five years under the original ownership and management. NUS provides complete MGU services to select clients in the USA, handling underwriting, administration, premium collection, and claims settlement for group self-funded medical plans. Our efforts are totally directed toward the valued TPA-Producer client relationships we establish and nurture; therefore, we do limit the number of clients within the same geographic region. NUS has always recognized the need to assist our clients with those so called “gray areas” in business and have been successful in doing so by “thinking outside the fences.” The highly experienced NUS staff understands the importance of providing quality service with a mixture of integrity, creativity, and flexibility. Within this framework, NUS has become one of the most respected MGU firms in the industry.

Areas and Criteria:
NUS plans to expand the client base in geographic areas where we are not currently working with a TPA-Producer. The primary areas we wish to focus on (but are not limited to) are the central, mid-east and mid-west USA. We feel we are most successful in working with mid-size TPA firms, that rely on strong relationships with a limited number of carriers and/or MGUs, have in-house sales personnel or very selective broker involvement, can provide timely feedback on numbers, and are willing to place and retain business with the goal of building a stable block of business with NUS.
